This initiative aims to develop the Institute into a high-level interdisciplinary academic platform and premium think tank integrating document collection & curation, research, policy advisory, and training. In November 2023, it was included in Shanghai's University Think Tank Program, and in January 2024, it was designated as part of the second batch of Shanghai's Key Cultivation Think Tanks.

The Fudan University School of Philosophy, guided by its mission to "develop first-class disciplines, cultivate top-tier talents, produce outstanding research achievements, and make exceptional contributions," continues to enhance the value of philosophical studies in social services and intellectual leadership. The program is dedicated to cultivating interdisciplinary talents with both theoretical depth and practical capabilities. Through developing extracurricular programs, the initiative bridges the gap between academic research and social reality, encouraging students to unify knowledge with practice. In 2024, the program successfully implemented two in-depth research projects and two volunteer service projects, engaging 8 faculty members and nearly 200 student participants. With over 95% satisfaction rate among beneficiaries, it has established a model case of university-based philanthropic education with exemplary value.
