First Plenary Meeting of the Phase II Zijiang Philanthropy Talent Development Fund Working Committee Held at ECNU

The inaugural plenary session of the Phase II Zijiang Philanthropy Talent Development Fund Working Committee convened at East China Normal University’s (ECNU) Putuo Campus. The meeting brought together representatives from Zijiang Group, philanthropic foundations, and university leadership to chart the course for advancing公益 (philanthropic) education.

Phase II Plan: Integrating Philanthropy into Holistic Education

Yang Yanhong, Deputy Director of Student Affairs, outlined the fund’s upgraded objectives:

  • Advancing Philanthropy: Embed philanthropy as a dynamic vehicle for excellence cultivation, emphasizing social-emotional competency development.
  • Practice-Driven: Encourage students to engage with real-world challenges while nurturing charityvalues.

Three Core Modules:

1️⃣ Research (Led by Li Ruirui, Vice Dean of Da Xia College)

  • Build on Phase I’s integration of philanthropy into talent development.
  • Launch annual forums, case studies, and key research projects to systematize best practices.

2️⃣ Curriculum (Presented by Zhang Jingjing, Career Development Center Director)

  • Expand the “specialized training + character education” model.
  • Introduce life-planning tools, distributed courses, and thematic lectures to bridge theory/practice.

3️⃣ Practicum (Presented by Ai Meiling, Meng Xiancheng College Advisor)

  • Establish a Future Teachers’ Innovation Hub featuring:-charity incubators

  • Gu Hongliang(ECNU Leadership): Highlighted plans to “create a signature charitybrand” through cross-departmental collaboration.
